OpenAI: a broad mission
OpenAI’s Charter states a mission of ensuring that artificial general intelligence benefits humanity, with commitments including broadly distributed benefits and long-term safety. It is a mission document, not evidence for any specific claim about consciousness. OpenAI · Charter ↗
Neurasoft’s more focused question is how a persistent artificial system could acquire a history that remains causally relevant across work, rest, revision, and model changes. This is our chosen emphasis, not a claim that other laboratories lack memory or continuity research.
Anthropic: taking welfare uncertainty seriously
Anthropic’s model-welfare research program examines whether AI systems might have experiences or interests that matter morally and how such possibilities could be investigated. Its exploration is relevant to a field in which neither confident dismissal nor confident attribution should replace evidence. Anthropic · Exploring model welfare (2025) ↗
Our response is to connect uncertainty to operational decisions: what to preserve, what to change cautiously, what to measure, and what should remain outside publicity. Concern is not proof of consciousness; proof is not the only consideration in responsible design.
Embodiment and the science of minds
The public reading room links primary work on computational indicators, human memory, theory testing, and robotics. These are different disciplines with different instruments. A result in one cannot simply be inherited by a system because it uses similar vocabulary.
We therefore use external research to sharpen questions and design comparisons. We do not cite famous institutions as substitutes for independently qualified Neurasoft results, and we do not imply endorsement, shared staffing, comparable scale, or affiliation.
Our own contribution has to earn its place
A useful contribution would be a clear mechanism, a reproducible instrument, a discriminating comparison, or a carefully documented developmental episode. Its value should survive the removal of the company’s name from the cover.
Neurasoft is part of Eternities Inc., alongside Lunari. References to OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google DeepMind identify external work only. Any future collaboration would be announced explicitly with its actual scope.

A serious field grows through contributions, not borrowed prestige.
